We are delighted to welcome two new team members to Franz Stampfl: The Man Behind the Miracle Mile – Dr Anton Stampfl (Associate Producer) and Marg Woodlock-McLean (Associate Producer).

Anton has been working with the production team for the past month, making his father’s vast archive of footage, photographs and personal papers available to us for research for the project, as well as putting us in touch with many different people who knew his father over his life.  Anton’s involvement with the project has infused it with new energy and we are all very excited about the new directions the project is now taking with him on the team.

Marg Woodlock-McLean is one of the catalysts behind this project coming to be – being one of Franz’s original Australian squad back in 1956 and mother of Writer/Director, Sally McLean.  A 1956 Olympian (Shot Put) and Australian Champion, Marg is working with the team to coordinate all the athletes who are to be interviewed on screen, as well as organizing to gain access to the athlete’s personal collections of photographs, recordings and papers.

We welcome both Marg and Anton to the project and are looking forward to working with them in the coming months as the project progresses.
