Season Two of Shakespeare Republic is currently releasing on our YouTube Channel and we’re already up to Episode 10!
So far we have seen the despot male version of Queen Margaret from Henry IV, Part III performed by Stephen Costan, a naive, yet passionate female Edmund from King Lear from Falon Ryan, a powerful Thomas More from Sir Thomas More at a parliamentary committee meeting played by Christopher Kirby, a modern hipster Viola from Twelfth Night performed by Nadine Garner, a politically savvy Katherina from The Taming of The Shrew played by Wahibe Moussa, an intense, yet playful Henry V from Henry V performed by Billy Smedley, a fragile female Hamlet from Hamlet played by Michala Banas, a rakish tragic clown in Jaques from As You Like It from Alan Fletcher, a tragic widowed Cleopatra from Antony & Cleopatra played by Tariro Mavondo and a love-lorn male Helena from Alls Well That Ends Well from Shane Savage.
Still to come – performances from Sally McLean, Phoebe Anne Taylor and Dean Haglund.
And the feedback has been absolutely lovely!
