Our Creative Director, Sally McLean, Creator/Director of the critically acclaimed Shakespeare Republic & Walking Shadows will be presenting two workshops with the Australian Equity Foundation, beginning next week, illustrating how to get to grips with Shakespeare, using her nearly decade experience adapting, directing and performing the Bard in her many award-winning Shakespeare screen projects.
Come along for some Shakespeare fun and games, that will also be highly illuminating!

During two 90-minute online workshops Sally McLean will take Equity members through the basics of interpreting and understanding Shakespeare’s text and how to apply that knowledge to the text in performance. This includes some hands on exercises alongside information you can take with you into your own work with the Bard’s text. These workshops are for anyone who has felt anxious about approaching Shakespeare in general, would like to learn more about interpreting his work, or would like some pointers on how to bring modern acting technique and sensibilities to Shakespeare’s works without compromising his text.
