We are so thrilled to have Shakespeare Republic: #AllTheWebsAStage (The Lockdown Chronicles) (Season Three), nominated for two awards at the 2021 Rio WebFest – which is happening right now in Brazil!

The season has been nominated for Best Quarentine Series and Best Series/Art Video among some amazing projects in their 2021 line up and we are SO delighted to be part of it all again this year!
Shakespeare Republic won the Rio WebFest Best Original Idea Award back in 2017 with Season Two, which was an amazing moment! (you can see Sally and Billy’s reaction from an LA hotel room when watching the livestream on our Facebook page here – it’s worth watching just for Billy’s happy dance alone!). To now be nominated for two awards in 2021 is just wonderful and we are so thrilled and grateful to the RWF Jury for this acknowledgment.

Yesterday, Sally had such a wonderful time chatting with actor Priscila Amaral from Rio WebFest on one of their Creator Panels, along with fellow creators, actor/director Brando Improta (Serenè) and writer/director Ingrid Franchi (Prisoner). Brando and Ingrid were such interesting people and creatives, both with a huge list of credits to their names in film, television and web series in their respective countries and it was a total joy to speak with them and Priscila in a truly international conversation through Brazil, Australia, Italy and France. So grateful to be able to meet and speak with such fascinating creatives around the globe! Long live web fests, in particular Rio WebFest, which has outdone itself this year – beautifully including creators in such a tangible way from every corner of the globe!
The Rio Webfest Awards Ceremony takes place on Sunday, November 28 at 6pm Rio de Janeiro time (which is in about 36 hours’ time from now!)
We wish all our fellow creators all the best in the awards and thank you again to the Rio WebFest team for including us so wonderfully in your festival this year – from all the way over here in Melbourne. We send so much love to all of you from here. We look forward to continuing to watch the amazing panels and workshops you have made available to everyone and raising a glass on the Awards night!
More festival news to come – until then, stay safe, be kind and speak anon …
