Shakespeare Republic Season Three selected for 40 festivals to date

Shakespeare Republic: #AllTheWebsAStage (The Lockdown Chronicles) has been roaring around the international webfest and film festival circuit, which has been amazing and wonderful for the entire Incognita team!

The season has now been officially selected for 40 festivals and industry awards, nominated 68 times and won 22 awards to date. Incredible!

In what has been a truly difficult 19 months for so many creatives, including us, having this kind of success with a project that was done to keep our passion for creating going and to give us and so many of our colleagues around the world a creative focus is just amazing and so humbling.

The most recent award was received over the weekend at Seriesland in Bilbao, Spain, where Sally won Creator Amets (Best Independent Creator/Showrunner) from a very competitive field. Other awards received over the past few weeks include a Best Actor award for Miguel Perez at the Montreal Digital WebFest, Best Dramatic Series at Minnesota WebFest, Best Director for Sally at Seoul WebFest and a Best Actor award for Christopher Kirby at the International Online WebFest in the UK. The full list of awards, nominations and selections can be seen here.

We have four more festivals coming up over the next 2 months, which we are so delighted about, and the response to date makes this latest season the most successful of the Shakespeare Republic seasons so far. Amazing, considering that this time none of us were physically in the same room at the same time when making the season – instead working remotely via video conferencing from pre-production to release on essentially no budget!

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported this work – from our loyal Patreon Patrons to our audiences to our cast and crew. Thank you all!

More news coming soon, but until then – take care, stay safe and see you soon.
